Review: A BluePrint to Selling on Amazon (Kindle Edition) by George Pain

While the text is not always grammatically correct the information in this book definitely has merit and value. I like that they walk you through step-by-step explaining the plan you should have for selling on Amazon (their blueprint). I also like that they supply you with a list of companies that sell goods for resale like Aliexpress, Alibaba, HKTDC, and others. The e-book highlights the fact that you should find a popular niche in which to sell your products. The book walks you through choosing the right provider for your products. Another great highlight in the book is that it goes over restricted categories. This is important to take note of as a potential Amazon seller. There are certain items you cannot sell and certain items that only approved vendors can sell like Baby products, electronics, health and personal care. Also, some categories are only available to professional sellers like grocery, jewelry, and clothing. This ebook also goes over using the Amazon seller app which is great for not only keeping track of your account but also to help purchase items for resale. There is a section devoted to the Amazon sales rank, which rates the sales performance of products in a given category. Another valuable section is the one in which the author discusses how to price your items. As someone who has sold items over the internet, this can be a very tricky subject.

Welcome to another product review.  Today we are reviewing Natrogix High Potency Vitamin D3 supplement.  This product is available for purchase on Amazon at Click Here.

I want to say that I’m impressed with the fact that these are daily dose vitamins that come in a container with 360 servings.  For the price of $10.99 (single ship) or $10.44 (recurring shipping), these are a great deal.    These supplements contain 2,000 IU of Vitamin D3 which is 500% of your Daily Value.

These are best taken by individuals who have a hard time acquiring enough Vitamin D through sunlight.  Since I work from home, have light skin, and I don’t get out much these are perfect for me.

I loved that they are tiny, making them easy to swallow and easy to fit into a medicine tray. The fact that they are soft gels mean they will absorb better into my system for use.  I have a very fast digestive system so liquid, gummies, and soft gels work best for me.   It’s much more difficult for my body to break down tablets/caplets and I may miss some of the benefits as they pass through my system.

I like the packaging.  It’s easy to read with some contrasting colors to drive your eyes to particular parts of the bottle.  They also have great purchase options.  You can buy 1, 3, or 6 bottles.  You can set up auto-ship to receive these supplements monthly, 2 months, 3 months, 4 months, 5 or 6 months.  You can also elect to make this a one-time purchase.

*I advise you speak to your doctor before starting any vitamin regimen.**

Amtok Beard Shaping Tool

Rating: 4 Skulls for visual 3 Skulls for non-visual.

 for non-visual

The Amtok Beard Shaping Tool is an interesting gadget for any well-groomed man.   It is a clear piece of hard plastic that is specifically shaped to allow you to groom your beard at home without going to the barber.  It features different angles, combs, and guides to help you shape the perfect beard.   The edges are contoured to allow you to guide your razor smoothly.

We decided to do a video review for this product.  Our perspective on this tool is different from others you may have seen or read.  Rufo is a visually impaired bearded individual.  He has never used a tool like this before.   He typically maintains his beard himself based on touch.

On initial review we liked the packaging it was interesting but the envelope was a bit difficult for Rufo to open.  I liked the instructions and tips as they were very helpful.  Unfortunately, Rufo is unable to read these due to the small print but we understand this is geared more toward visual users.  We liked that the tool was made of plastic and flat making it easy to clean and store.

RATING: 5 SKULLS!

I’ve been using Swagbucks on the background on my computer for a few months now.  I’ve really only been utilizing two features (cash back and Search Engine points) until recently when I started watching videos and filling out surveys.   I didn’t realize all of the wonderful money making opportunities on this site until recent.

Ways to make money:

  1. Referrals – see above ^
  2. Using Swagbucks as your default search engine.
  3. Using the Chrome extension when I shop online to gain cash back/points.
  4. Watch movie trailers on your phone.
  5. Watch a wide variety of videos on your computer.
  6. Fill out surveys to earn more points.
  7. Play games (most require in-game purchase).
  8. Special offers (earn for shopping)

I recently cashed out 2,500 Swagbucks to purchase a $25 Paypal credit.  Once requested and verified it took less than 24 hours to receive the payment.  Since I’m currently working part-time teaching and freelancing I will be trying to utilize Swagbucks more to create extra income.

Lunchtime

We’ve both eaten here individually before but this was our first time eating here together.  They had a burger and fries on special which looked good to Rufo so we ended up there.  I ordered something similar to what I had last time.  I ended up with the chicken nachos and of course he had the burger.

The nachos are not your typical plate of nachos.  1. There are no tortilla chips.  2.  There is no cheese.  What they use are homemade potato chips.  On top of those chips is delicious chicken topped with teriyaki sauce and spicy mayo remoulade.  This is an amazing twist on your typical nacho and it’s a great twist!

Rufo had a hearty burger with french fries.  He had the burger done medium well.  I snuck a taste of his burger and his fries.  Both were amazing and cooked to perfection.

They also do amazing shaved ice!  The prices are reasonable.  The atmosphere is relaxing and the food is as close to Hawaii as you can get in Florida. lol

Melbourne Toy and Comic Con

The Melbourne Toy & Comic Convention is a small, family-friendly con located in Melbourne at the Auditorium.  This convention is held twice a year.  Rufo and I have been to the last 2 (October 2016/March 2017).  On both occasions we’ve had the pleasure of talking to George Lowe (better known as the voice of SpaceGhost and other popular animated voice characters).

On both visits we’ve spent significant time talking to George and listening to his witty banter with other con-goers and vendors.  We always are sure to purchase a signed print off of the table and get a picture with him.  If  you are in the area and are a fan of the show or any of the other shows he’s worked on I would advise you to stop by his table and have a chat.

This con features a small game and kids room, a few workshops and talks.  The bulk of the con is the vendors.  If you are looking for comics, toys, or POPs then you’ve come to the right place.  Both times we’ve acquired some new art.  This time we purchased the signed print from George Lowe, 2 Spiderman prints, Edgar Allan Poe – Raven, Tesla, and Ash v the Evil Dead print.

It isn’t an expensive convention so it’s a great way to waste a Sunday.  There are always neat things to buy.  I picked up a 3D puzzle of a praying mantis.  I haven’t had time to assemble him yet.

If you are in town for the next convention, stop by – geek out a little.  🙂

Kid-A-Palooza – Kona Luau 40+ Food Trucks!!!!!

We had a lot of fun at Kid-A-Palooza/40+ Food Truck Event.  This event was held at Wickham Park in Melbourne Florida.  We did not bring any children for the Kid portion of this adventure but we did bring our appetites.

Entering the event looked like a cross between kiddie and foodie heaven.  On the right for as far as I could see were giant inflatable bounce houses and slides.  The kid in me was secretly dying to go have a jump. lol!  On the left circling all the way around until they met the bounce houses on the right were the food trucks.  Food trucks as far as the eye could see.

We decided to try to amp up our appetites by checking the vendors that had been placed creatively in the middle of the area between kiddie and foodie heaven.  Of course most of the vendors catered to children or parents.  There were a variety of activities for children to do while they were there or for them to sign up to do later.  There was a booth filled mostly with reptiles but also a few not often seen mammals.  There was also an awesome surf board/skateboard booth.  After we had finished looking at each booth we decided it was time to plan out our lunch.  What to eat?

There were so many choices.  We started at the entrance and moved clockwise around the arena.  We had looked at the list of trucks before we left so we could have an idea of what we wanted.  In the benefit of interest we still decided to do a full lap around carefully looking at each truck to be sure we hadn’t changed our minds.

Rufo stuck with his original decision and tried PizzaCone.  They basically make eating pizza ultra portable by shaping the dough into a cone and filling the inside with pizza sauce and toppings.  Rufo choose bacon and pepperoni.  I had a few bites and it was amazing.  I almost went back to purchase another one.

I had originally planned on purchasing ceviche from one of the trucks.  I changed my mind when I read the words “Bacon Fried Rice”  on the front of Samson’s Grill.  We’ve all had pork fried rice of course….but this….this was bacon fried rice.  I also had my choice of either Teriyaki chicken or Bourbon chicken.  I decided on the bourbon chicken with bacon fried rice and an egg roll.   Everything was amazing and delicious.  Typically I don’t each much in one setting but I cleaned the plate.

We had a lot of fun and great food.  Can’t wait until the next food truck event!

Time: Early afternoon

Overall appearance:  The restaurant was clean and well decorated.  They did not seem busy and appeared to have several tables open.  There were already 2 couples waiting to be seated.  We walked up to the hostess station to give her our name since we were not greeted.  She looked flustered.  She didn’t greet us but instead shrugged us off.  One couple was seated and after waiting a few more minutes decided to sit down in the chairs up front.  Once the second couple was seated we stood up as we knew we were next.  We were disappointed that there were so many open seats and it took them so long to seat us.   We were also not offered a booth and instead seated at a table.

Once we were seated at our table the experience started to improve.  We were quickly asked for our drink orders and some good suggestions were made.  Rufo ordered a Heineken and I ordered a Frozen Mango Margarita.  My drink was delicious but the outside of the glass was a little sloppy with sugar.   We were also given water with lemon without prompting.

I ordered 2 chicken enchiladas and one pork tamale.  Rufo ordered 2 Chimichangas.  The food came out very hot and looked very authentic.  Both dishes came with refried bean, cheese, and rice.   I was able to finish one enchilada and part of the tamale.  I did eat a good bit of the rice and beans as well and opted to take the rest home.  Rufo finished part of one Chimichanga and a small bit of the rice and beans.   Both dishes were delicious.

We also ordered a fried ice cream for dessert.  Vanilla ice cream with cinnamon and honey and crunchy corn flakes in a crispy crunchy bowl and smothered with whip cream and chocolate sauce and a cherry on top.  We managed to finish the ice cream but left the bowl.  It was delicious and despite the wait we would like to go back there again and try more of their dishes.

@Pizza – Hammock Landing – Review

We placed our order using Doorstep Delivery
; a company that delivers food from restaurants that do not offer delivery.

We honestly didn’t do much research on the pizza place
before we decided on them.  Their menu seemed interesting.  All of the pizzas are $7.98 but the menu online didn’t seem to obviously reveal the size.  I read through the pizza options an
d soon we had decided on one for each of us.

Rufo’s pizza – Melb-a-Mia Cheese pizza

Traditional dough, Olive oil, Garlic, Fresh Mozzarella, @Blend, Roma Tomatoes, and Fresh Basil.

Kiva’s pizza – Pombay – Indian pizza

Wheat dough, Classic Tomato sauce, @ Blend, Tikka Masala Seasoned Chicken, Red Onions, Tomatoes, Peppers, and Cilantro.

The pizzas arrived earlier than expected.  The expected wait time was well over an hour and our food arrived in about 45 minutes.  I’m assuming they were really busy since they aren’t far from where we were.

The food arrived hot and delivered by a very pleasant male delivery man.  Rufo took the pizzas and we looked at the outside of the boxes.  They are rectangular which we thought was interesting.  When we opened the boxes to our delight were perfectly crafted, amazing smelling, flatbread pizzas.

We both described the pizza as similar to a Pita pizza.  Both pizzas were amazing and we would recommend them both.   This is a place we will be trying again.  They use amazing fresh ingredients in a non-traditional way to make/eat pizza.  I’ve never had Cilantro on a pizza before but I think it should be on every pizza!

They have a variety of Signature pizzas like: Aloha Onie, Farmer’s Market, Goofy Foot, Instant Karma (Classic with a Kick), Mediterranean, Mexicali, The Carnivore, and The Jeffrey (Ring of Fire). You can check them out on Facebook or on their website by following the links below.

Philly’s Finest – Restaurant Review

Rating: 5 out of 5 Skulls

Date: 2/26/17

Time: Lunch

Who: Me, Rufo, and Sister.

These potatoes are amazing.  Tator tots covered in bacon, cheese, and ranch. I’m sure if you eat too much and they may live up to their name.  They taste amazing and everyone enjoyed them.  I ended up taking a small portion home and was good after I re-heated it in the microwave.

This is my favorite sandwich from Philly’s Finest.  It’s a chicken steak, with onions, and peppers, prosciutto, some sort of cheese, and it’s all soaked in a balsamic reduction.

I can’t even bring myself to try anything else.  I could only finish half and took the other half home.  It was amazing!  I ended up eating the other half early this morning after teaching my 2:30 am class.

Rufo ordered the large Philly Cheese-steak with Sharp American, Banana Peppers, and Mushrooms.  Large is the same length as the small but it’s loaded with meat.  Can you see the other untouched half a sandwich on this plate?  I don’t even know how he kept the meat on the bread.  He was able to finish half of the sandwich and part of the Cardiac fries and his Beck’s.

Sister had some awesome hot wings and a Beck’s and shared some of the Cardiac tots.  She finished her Beck’s and about half of the wings and took the rest home.  They were never to be heard of again.

The service at Philly’s Finest is AMAZING!  The guys behind the counter were super friendly and patient.  It didn’t take too long to get our order and to hear my name be called.  The Cardiac Tots came out last but they were worth the wait.

Once we were all stuffed I went up to the counter to ask for a box and he asked for me to bring him our plates and they would package it up for us.

It was just an awesome experience from start to finish.  Any blemish in the restaurant pails in comparison when it comes to their awesome customer service and super food.
